The first Flat White at the Yellow Rocket
My mom had a VERY busy first day in Christchurch. First, a quick look at Avonside, then to the Arts Centre for a peek at the market, then over to the Yellow Rocket in Cathedral Square for a bagel and flat white (while listening to the Sunday morning church bells), and then we had a drive through the city (thanks to Iri for lending me her flash SUV for the luggage haul!).
At the Christchurch Art Centre
We eventually made it out to Sumner for some unpacking and another flat white at Poseidon in Sumner where we watched the sun start to set before heading back for one of Marie and Richard's divine home-cooked meals and a home-made Pavlova. Some of you might need to consult the online kiwi dictionary.
More to come as these two maple leafs find their way among kiwis...
Thanks for reading!
L.
